Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is an advanced AHA certification class for healthcare providers. It’s designed to enhance provider skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

(ACLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes but does not limit personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.
Students will receive an American Heart Association ACLS certification card (valid for 2 years) immediately upon successful completion of this class (Multiple choice test required).
Prerequisites:
Must be proficient in BLS skills AND complete the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work through www.eLearning.heart.org/course/424. Please allow 3-4 hours to complete the pretest and required online videos (must score 70% or better, but may be retaken if necessary). Successful completion of the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work will result in the certificate needed for admission to the in-person class component of the course.

- Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Airway Management
- ACLS Pharmacology
- How to be both a leader and a team member in a resuscitation team
- Management of acute coronary syndromes and stroke
- Basic Life Support (BLS) review

CE Credits
CE credits are issued to CA dental workers and dentists including DDS, DMD, RDA and RDHs. Please ask & request them at the time of class.
AHA now offers Continuing Education units through CAPCE (Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education) for EMS professionals.
No other professions receive CE Credits.
BLS Book Policy

The AHA requires students to bring the current BLS book to their CPR training class. If you purchase the book from us, you will pick it up on the day of your course. We do not ship the book and you cannot pick up the book prior to class.

ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Online Course & Skills Check)
This Class Has Two Parts:
- Part 1: Online portion (Can be completed in approximately 3-8 hours based on experience).
As soon as you register, you will receive a registration email which includes a link to take the online course for your class. This must be completed before the hands-on portion. - Part 2: A hands-on skills session with one of our AHA authorized CPR instructors. (30 Minutes – 1 Hour)

Our ACLS certification program also includes a recertification or renewal component for current ACLS card holders.
We offer ACLS renewal classes in a quick blended online course learning program that takes into account the often hectic schedules of medical professionals and medical students. In this course, students are given the greater portion of the instruction online. After completing the coursework through CPR distance-learning, students are simply asked to come in to our Los Angeles La Mirada office location for a skills test/check. Once this is completed, students are issued their ACLS certification eCard and may begin or continue their medical career in the same way.
